There’s so much I want for our kids….and it’s so easy getting caught up doing stuff for them (because they also do have A Lot of needs! ) but I am constantly reminding myself that what matters even more is being present.
And sometimes I literally need to remind myself to switch the computer off or put my phone down, and Play.
They grow up so fast anyway that the window of opportunity to really play with them is quite short. One thing I do know is that the memories that we make are some of the most important things that they will hold dear for the rest of their lives, and I want to make sure that I am in those memories, not just cooking and cleaning up after them but being present in life moments with them.
